Fe20 Modpack + Server

Setup

0. DM a11ce on discord so I can add you to the server whitelist. The server is public (in the sense that you’re invited if you’re reading this), this is just an anti-griefing measure. You can also join the Fe discord server which has a chat bridge to Minecraft.
1. Download the modpack here. Do not unzip it.
2. Download the Prism Launcher and sign in. The modpack zip contains all the mods, so you can use any other launcher if you prefer.
3. Import the modpack into your launcher. In prism, click Add Instance at the top left, then select Import and choose the zip you just downloaded.
4. Increase the maximum allocated memory. Fe20 requires about 5G, I use 6 to be safe. In Prism, this means going to Settings -> Java -> Maximum memory allocation and entering 6144 MiB. You can also try the following JVM arguments if you experience stuttering:

-XX:+UseG1GC -XX:+ParallelRefProcEnabled -XX:MaxGCPauseMillis=200 -XX:+UnlockExperimentalVMOptions -XX:+DisableExplicitGC -XX:G1NewSizePercent=30 -XX:G1MaxNewSizePercent=40 -XX:G1HeapRegionSize=8M -XX:G1ReservePercent=20 -XX:G1HeapWastePercent=5

5. Launch the modpack! The Fe20 server will already be in your multiplayer server list. Ignore the red X.
6. Note that I haven’t included key bindings (because I use a very idiosyncractic configuration). You might have to adjust conflicting or strange bindings.

Fe20 has a general steampunk/dieselpunk theme. Magic is present but arcane and difficult to master.
